Alon Shtruzman is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in Film and Television, New Media and Gaming. During his 15 years in the media industry, he served as Vice President of New Media at FOX International Channels and National Geographic Channels, produced TV series in partnership with several Hollywood major studios, founded Israel's first interactive-TV studio and served as VP Content of the Israeli cable companies (HOT).
He is now COO and President of Media of Playcast Media Systems, the world’s first live service to play console-quality video games on TV without a console with offices in London, Tel-Aviv and Beverly Hills.
Prof. Frederic Fol Leymarie
Goldsmiths MSc Computer Games & Entertainment, University of London
Professor Leymarie (BEng Montreal, MEng Mcgill, PhD Brown) is co-director of the MSc Computer Games & Entertainment at Goldsmiths Digital Studios, University of London. As an expert on 3D graphics modelling he was instrumental in setting up the SHAPE Lab at Brown University, exploring virtual reconstructions of archaeological places and artefacts. He continues that work at the University of London and is also principal investigator on projects using computers to generate art and evolving three-dimensional shapes to be used in art, computer games and medical visualisation. Frederic has initiated several "shape-based" projects mixing the Arts, Humanities, the Sciences, and Computing.
Miguel Andres-Clavera
Head of Innovation, JWT London
Miguel is Head of Innovation at JWT London and PhD in Art & Computational Technology at Goldsmiths Digital Studios in London. He co-founded the Social Technology & Cultural Interfaces Research Group at Goldsmiths and is the founder of scanMemories (now NeMeLoS), a sensory location based social media platform. He focuses on networks and interactive non-linear narratives to create experiences that shape our perception of memory and space and its cultural boundaries and presented his work in several festivals around the world. Miguel holds a BSc/MSc Computer Science & Software Eng. at CPS Zaragoza and an MPhil Art & Computational Technology at Goldsmiths.
Nina Sobell
Artist, New York
New York based artist Nina Sobell, pioneered the use of video and computers in art. Since 1969, she investigates the extent to which video enables her to manipulate the relation between time and space. Groundbreaking projects include ParkBench , VirtuAlice, and Interactive Encephalographic Brainwave Drawings. She has received numerous awards and her work has been shown throughout the US, Europe, and Japan. Recently Nina Sobell was an Artist in Residence at Location One in New York, supported by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and her works were included in the exhibition California Video at the Getty Museum, Los Angeles, the Prague Contemporary Art Festival 2009.
